In this work, Derrick provides a historical account and volumes of research data of the theological and practical distinctives that made these preachers the true "prototypes" of preaching. In this work, he also provides interviews of many of those who lived to see and hear these great men of God preach. From the historical account, Derrick seeks to preserve and provide contemporary disciplines of The Greatest Generation that are timeless, to help our present generation and the future generations continue in the truths of what will truly enhance our society, sermons, and our sanctuaries.
